FTGU Statement on Violence Against the African American Community
"We The People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
These words must ring true now more than ever.
As a brand dedicated to the community and being better as a whole, we are absolutely heartbroken over the constant racial violence and injustices that the African American community continues to experience across the nation.
We must be better.
We must stand up for what is right. We must challenge ourselves and our community. We must show compassion, love and acceptance of one another. We must be better listeners, more active when we see injustice, more aware of certain privileges. Stand up for your brothers and sisters, show what it truly means to be American. The human spirit is a powerful tool.
Times are difficult, there's no question about it, but as a united front, we are greater than the forces that try and divide us.
Together, we are the difference and we are the change. Stand up and do what it right. We stand AGAINST racism. We stand FOR equality. We stand AGAINST police brutality. We stand FOR human rights. Be on the right side of history. Stand with us.
